 Mystères du chant orthodoxe Ancienne Russie & Byzance Choeur Yaroslavl' & Nektaria Karantzi Les prochains concerts du Choeur Yaroslavl’ proposeront des oeuvres byzantines de Grèce, et en miroir des chants de la Russie ancienne. Pour entrer dans l’univers particulier du chant orthodoxe des origines, il faut revenir aux sources, à celles et ceux qui portent cette tradition, nourris des meilleurs maîtres, en Grèce tout particulièrement. C’est pourquoi L’ensemble a cappella de chant orthodoxe, le chœur Yaroslavl’ a invité celle qui représente aujourd’hui au mieux, au niveau international, le chantbyzantin féminin, Nektaria Karantzi. Accompagnée par les bourdons et refrains du chœur, Nektaria chantera en seconde partie de concert, près d’une dizaine de pièces, représentatives de la spiritualité, la beauté et la majesté de l’orthodoxie byzantine. Certaines pièces orthodoxes, russes ou grecques, présentées ici, sont d’une beauté qui n’est pas de ce monde. Un florilège de pièces de Byzance (Grèce et Chypre surtout) et de l'ancienne Russie (16e au 18e s.). Les pièces sont extraites des répertoires orthodoxes de Carême et du temps pascal jusqu'à l'Ascension. Avec Marie Daher (soprano) et Fiodor Tarassow (bass). Nektaria Karantzi, Une voix envoûtante Dotée d’une voix douce, grave et envoûtante, la soliste grecque affiche aussi sur scène une certaine prestance. Ancient Russia & Byzantium Choeur Yaroslavl' & Nektaria Karantzi Nektaria Karantzi, the prominent Greek vocalist of the sacred music and acclaimed as one of the most important voices in byzantine chant worldwide, has once again been invited to collaborate with the Swiss choir of orthodox chant Choeur Yaroslavl, under the direction of Yan Greepin. The concerts ”Mysteries of the Orthodox Chant – Ancient Russia and Byzantium” will take place in May 20 & 21, at the “Temple de Coppet” and the “Eglise catholique – romaine de Morat” in Switzerland, with the participation of the Lebanese Soprano Marie Daher and the Russian Bass Fiodor Tarassow. Nektaria Karantzi Her voice has been identified mainly with the Byzantine sacred art and has been internationally acclaimed as one of the most important voices in Byzantine Chant and Sacred Music. Her performances are purely devoted to Byzantine Chant, the Mediterranean primeval musical tradition the religious music in Greek, Romanian, Arabic, Russian, Italian, French, Aramaic (the language of Jesus Christ) etc. The Greek vocalist Nektaria Karantzi has also been invited for Master Classes from some of the most renowned educational and musical centers in Europe, such as the Liszt Academy in Hungary, the Sorbonne University in France, the University of Oviedo in Spain etc. Important moment of her career is also her collaboration with the internationally acclaimed pianist, composer and conductor Vassilis Tsabropoulos in an artistic combination inspired by byzantine hymns joining West and East and toured in Europe several times. She is the Founder of the “Byzantine Female Chanters Organization” and the President of the Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra of Athens, which is under the aegis of the Archbishop of Athens and all of Greece, Ieronymos II. She has studied Law, undertook prostgraduates in Penal Law, Criminology and Ecclesiastical Law and she is also a Doctor of Laws.
